The State Duma ratified the EAEU agreement on the establishment of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company

The State Duma ratified the agreement approved by the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on the establishment of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company (EPK). Document published on website State Duma.
Prime Ministers of the EAEU countries approved creation of the EPC in August 2022. The structure being created will have to reinsure export credits and investments against business and political risks in the EAEU states and in third countries.
The capital of EPK will amount to 15 billion rubles. and will be formed at the expense of property contributions from the countries of the “five” – the draft charter of the organization, as previously reported “b”, suggests that most of the contributions fall on the sanctioned Russia (45%) and Belarus (30%). The rest of the EAEU members will account for a quarter of the contributions: the participation of Kazakhstan will be 20%, Armenia – 3%, Kyrgyzstan – 2%.
