Introduced to the State Duma bill on simplified obtaining of a residence permit (residence permit) for foreigners – representatives of indigenous peoples of Russia. The document was developed by the deputies of “A Just Russia – For Truth” Dmitry Kuznetsov and Timur Kanokov.
The authors of the initiative propose issuing a residence permit without obtaining a temporary residence permit to a person “who is a representative of indigenous peoples or who has such parents.” The list of indigenous peoples, according to the draft law, will be approved by the government of the Russian Federation.
The explanatory note states that there are about 20 million Russian speakers outside Russia, as well as representatives of peoples historically living in the Russian Federation. A simplified procedure for issuing a residence permit will allow them to quickly obtain Russian citizenship, the authors of the initiative noted.
Last November, a bill was introduced to the State Duma that would make it easier for repatriates wishing to return to Russia to obtain a residence permit. The initiative was developed on behalf of President Vladimir Putin.
About interest in Russian citizenship among foreigners – in the material of Kommersant “Ukrainians and Belarusians were replaced by Tajik imports.”
