The State Duma proposed to oblige schoolchildren to work

A draft law has been submitted for consideration by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, providing for the obligation of schoolchildren to work taking into account age characteristics and without parental consent.
According to the current legislation, it is prohibited to involve schoolchildren in work that is not related to the educational program without the consent of the children and their legal representatives.
Olga Kazakova, head of the Duma committee on education and one of the authors of the bill, expressed the opinion that it is necessary “already at school to form a sense of personal involvement in the cause and responsibility for its result.”
We are talking about simple socially useful work – for example, landscaping the school grounds, helping in the library or school theater, caring for sports equipment.
Earlier, the governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, recalled the directive of the head of state that “children should have a real idea of our Russian economy, how it works in industry, agriculture, and construction.” He spoke about the experience of the Soviet era in organizing training and production facilities, where students in grades 10-11 could acquire their first specialty. Rudenya promised that the schoolchildren of the Tver region will be given the opportunity to work at the enterprises of the region in their free time.
