The State Duma proposed introducing a course on family values in universities

How necessary is the Institute of Family for bachelors and specialist students?

Since the beginning of this year, we have learned that the president reveres and quotes Immanuel Kant by heart. Putin shared his thoughts and, of course, his own with students in the homeland of the great Prussian philosopher (and Russian subject) on Tatiana’s Day.

Since then, not only a lot of water has flown under the bridge in the Kaliningrad Bay, but also an Address to the Federal Assembly took place, the lion’s share of which was given to the social sphere.

And, as if by the will of the wizard Klingsor (this is from Wagner, where Lohengrin and Parsifal are), not a day goes by in the State Duma without attempts to comply with the Message. The proposals of the deputies are so intricate that Kant comes to mind again. “Two things never cease to amaze me: the starry sky above my head and…” And the “moral and moral” proposals of our deputies.

Recently, a deputy, for example, proposed introducing a university course called “Institute of Family” at universities everywhere. In the name of demography and morality, therefore, in favor of increasing the population. She was the author of the initiative to ban the expulsion of students who became pregnant during their studies. Later, colleagues came up with more ideas: to transfer students of both sexes from paid to state-funded students if they became parents. True, the Duma members did not specify how to expand the magic budget to a rubber state.

Later, colleagues came up with more ideas: to transfer students of both sexes from paid to state-funded students. The Duma members did not specify how to expand the magic budget to a rubber state. Well, who, if not the students, should think about this – the president also said so. While the average age of having offspring in the Russian Federation has jumped to 27 years, and the average childbearing rate, on the contrary, has fallen to 1.42 per woman. Marriage has become unpopular, the “childfree” ideology rules.

Therefore, it is necessary… No, not to increase the scholarship to at least one minimum wage, to give payments to mothers on maternity leave, to strengthen nurseries and kindergartens. Bring maternity hospitals and especially the junior medical staff in them to a divine appearance, separating these institutions from the dark legends about the goddess Hel and the Valkyries. But this is difficult, because in parliament there are not only persifals, but only people’s representatives. Therefore, they suggest starting with theory, preaching “spiritual, moral and family values” to students aged 19–25.

Girls and young people, many of whom are already working and have life experience, will be told about the stories. “About the conditions for entering into a marriage relationship, about family ethics…” As they say, the speaker is good, preferably from a seminary and has many children, and the lectures are interesting.

In addition to these parliamentary efforts, two new courses have already been introduced into universities. Historical “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood” in the first year of study, “Service Learning” – in subsequent years. But I want more…

It is clear that this is not a simple year, but an election year. And the launch of new national projects “Family”, “Youth of Russia”, and especially the funding figures spark the imagination. And they generate fabulous creativity.

Thus, already from the beginning of the year, ideas of “bifurcation of the Unified State Exam” arose in the Duma: both regular “classical” and state exams are held in parallel – to choose from. Teachers have already begun to earn 100 thousand rubles virtually, “like in Moscow.” And they also received “almost free” mortgage housing at 2% per annum.

Perhaps, before the mind’s eye of the people’s representatives, their own Neuschwanstein is floating – a new building of excellent Russian education, where sublime values are instilled in young people from kindergarten to graduation. And the materials are developed and lectures are given by specialists of a spiritual and moral persuasion, eclipsing the Institute of Marxism-Leninism in numbers and skill. Let us remember, by the way, the persistent rejection that these very lectures caused towards the end of the USSR.

However, this is a different story. And in our traditional one, where a spoon is good for dinner, I would like to say: pot, don’t cook. “Traditional” spiritual food, cabbage soup and spelt, must be filtered somehow. Don’t sound like noodles on your ears. Otherwise, in the name of ideal education, a strong “increase in demographics,” we can throw out the baby with the bathwater of parliamentary demagoguery.

Shouldn’t we throw out the baby with the bathwater?
