Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin sent amendments to the relevant committee to simplify the registration of ownership of dacha outbuildings and houses divided to accommodate several families. This was reported by press service State Duma.

As Vyacheslav Volodin said, the amendments will make it possible to register outbuildings on summer cottages, including bathhouses and summer kitchens, in a simplified manner. If the amendments are adopted, citizens will be able to register ownership of houses divided for several families.

“Citizens have repeatedly drawn attention to the difficulties in registering property rights in their appeals. The proposed measures are a solution to the problem,” noted Vyacheslav Volodin.

As one of the authors of the amendments, Pavel Krasheninnikov, head of the State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation, explained earlier, data on dacha outbuildings will be entered into the Unified State Register of Real Estate on the basis of technical passports or assessment documentation. In this case, the buildings must be in the technical or state register of home ownership before January 1, 2013, and the applicant must have the right to the land plot where the building stands.

In the 1960s and 1970s, people were often given houses under one roof and a common wall, with each part of the house having a separate entrance. Such houses have a common wall and common communications, and sometimes a common plot of land, so difficulties often arise when registering rights to real estate. The amendments propose to extend the simplified registration mechanism to include two-family houses built before May 14, 1998.
