The State Duma explained why songs about the heroes of the Northern Military District are ignored on television

“There must be good songs”

Yuri Loza, who celebrated his 70th birthday yesterday, raised a very serious topic. The musician said that not long ago he wrote a song about the Northern Military District, but not a single federal channel took it on the air. There was no patriotic novelty from Loza on the radio stations either. The singer believes that obvious patriotism is not favored in Russia.

“Patriotic compositions must be heard on both radio and television,” Elena Drapeko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, assured MK correspondents. – The only point is that there must be good songs. But Loza is a very talented person. Surely his song is worthy of being performed in television concerts.

Drapeko believes that the performer of the hit “Raft” needs to appeal to the State Duma.

“We need to talk to the management of radio and television channels,” Drapeko continued. — We have a specialized media committee in the State Duma, which should resolve such issues.

Loza’s statement is far from the first. Last year, Ilya Reznik complained that his new release, the hit about the fallen soldiers of the Northern Military District “Loved Ones Don’t Die” performed by Aziza, was also ignored on TV channels and radio stations. And this despite the fact that the composition received hundreds of thousands of views and enthusiastic responses on the Internet.

Aziza performed a patriotic novelty at Reznik’s anniversary party, which was filmed by Channel One. But “Loved Ones Don’t Die” was cut from the broadcast for unknown reasons, leaving only the lyrical composition performed by Aziza.
