The State Duma Committee on State Construction approved for the first reading bills, which introduce administrative and criminal liability for trash streams. Authors of such content will be fined up to 700 thousand rubles.
“The government has comments on the draft on administrative responsibility. We will work on this. But at the same time, we understand that it is important to support the concept of initiatives,” said the first deputy chairman of the committee, Irina Pankina (quoted from “Interfax”).
The text of the bill states that the fact of conducting a trash stream will be considered aggravating circumstances under ten articles of the Criminal Code. Social networks will be required to remove such content. Fine of up to 700 thousand rubles. is intended for participants and organizers of trash streams.
Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin trash streams named broadcasts in which they commit “acts demonstrating cruelty, sadism, and abuse of people and animals.” The bill was submitted to the State Duma on December 8.
