Russian State Duma deputy Vladimir Burmatov called for punishing the conductor who threw Twix the cat out of the train. The parliamentarian believes that the woman “essentially committed murder” and should be prosecuted for cruelty to animals.
“This should not be qualified as an official violation, but she committed it, of course. And she threw it (the cat – approx.) – she did not have the right to do this, and as a result the animal died, so this is cruelty to animals,” Burmatov stated.
In addition, the State Duma deputy added that the management of Russian Railways needs to hold an explanatory conversation with the conductor and all staff.
Previously, a number of Telegram channels reported that the cat thrown out of the train could have survived, but after some time it turned out that he died in the cold.
