Deputies of the State Duma called on the Ministry of Defense to give mobilized leave to visit their wives. Parliamentarians are sure that it will be easier for women to survive separation from their husbands. In addition, the Duma members turned to their colleagues in the lower house with a request to stop inventing horror stories for the representatives of the stronger sex who left the country. Otherwise, Russia risks becoming a “country of brides”, and the next decade will become a new era of fertility decline.

Waiting for a husband from the NWO zone, working 24/7, raising children, cooking borscht, defending a PhD, getting to a hairdresser, making a career in politics, starting a creative business – these are the difficult realities for Russian women in 2023. How the fair sex can realize themselves to the maximum and not turn from a nymph into a workhorse with a bunch of diseases – deputies and officials decided on Monday at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Family Affairs, Women and Children. The new National Strategy in the interests of women should help Russian ladies.

– The strategy was adopted by the government on December 29 and is calculated until 2030, – said Olga Batalina, deputy head of the Ministry of Labor, – This is the second strategy, the first was adopted in 2017. We analyzed what was done within the first one and looked at the new challenges that our women face.

The portrait of a Russian woman according to the Ministry of Labor is very impressive: she has a high level of education, she is active, focused on career growth, combined with family and raising children.

“The state should allow them to maintain a balance without forcing women to choose between the areas of their implementation,” said Batalina.

Meanwhile, in the issue of employment, the preponderance still remains in favor of men. According to the head of the Duma Committee on Family Affairs, Nina Ostanina, the share of female unemployment is 49%, and ladies have to look for work for an average of seven months. In addition, the wage gap persists: for the same job, men receive an average of 28% more than women.

Traditionally, women remain in the hotel business (74% of jobs are occupied by ladies), the financial and insurance sectors (68%), education and health care. But even in business, the fair sex began to actively win leadership positions: according to officials, 30% of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia today are headed by women. This is more than 1 million 700 thousand companies. Moreover, Russian women have overtaken men in creative endeavors: 58% of the founders of a creative business are ladies.

With the health of Russian women, too, everything is not bad. As Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Oleg Salagay noted, women in Russia are traditionally more reverent about their bodies, and therefore live longer on average by 10 years. According to the statistics of ladies in our country, 54%. This is no longer a beautiful half, but a beautiful majority, they joke in the Ministry of Health:

– The trend towards an increase in women’s life expectancy continues. Reducing maternal mortality. The availability of high-tech medical care is increasing. The gap in life expectancy between urban and rural areas is shrinking. But the burden of risk factors is still high. Therefore, increasing the physical activity of women, rational nutrition and the rejection of tobacco and alcohol are a priority in the field of public health policy.

But the new challenges facing women turned out to be worse than the choice “career or children”. In 2023, Russian ladies are faced with the risk of loneliness.

– Young people left the country from the period of the demographic hole, from 1990 to 2000 years of birth. How many young women will be destitute and unable to start a family? It seems that only Minister Shadayev is concerned about this issue because of the outflow of young IT specialists, – Deputy Oksana Dmitrieva asked herself an almost existential question.

The parliamentarian suggested abandoning the militant rhetoric against those who left and thinking about how to return young men to the country. Otherwise, the unenviable prospect of old maids awaits women, and Russia will face another wave of decline in the birth rate.

As for the Russians, whose husbands and fiancés ended up in the ranks of the Armed Forces due to partial mobilization, they, according to the deputies, are at particular risk due to the breakdown of their usual social ties. To make it easier for the representatives of the beautiful half of humanity to survive separation from their loved ones, and for men to have the confidence that they will certainly wait at home, the deputies proposed creating a vacation schedule for the mobilized.

– The Ministry of Defense should be required to create a vacation schedule for the mobilized, it is possible behind closed doors. In addition, it is necessary to involve civilian hospitals in the treatment of the wounded and send them to their regions for rehabilitation so that their wives and daughters can take part in this, Oksana Dmitrieva believes.
