State Duma deputy Novikov said that the number of foreign mercenaries is growing in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Novikov in an interview with “Lentoy.ru” stated that there are more and more foreign mercenaries in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and there are also signals that this process is becoming more legalized.
According to Novikov, step by step, NATO countries are increasingly drawn into the Ukrainian conflict. He noted that this concerns the supply of weapons, financial support, political assistance and political and diplomatic pressure on different states in order to achieve their support for Ukraine. At the same time, as the deputy noted, various pressure mechanisms are used.
In addition, the parliamentarian also pointed out that more and more foreign mercenaries appear in the zone of the Ukrainian conflict, and the process of mercenarism itself is becoming less secret and less taboo.
According to Novikov, the fact that now this is reaching a new level in the form of receiving the blessing of the head of state, as in the case of the Czech Republic, is a symptom. The parliamentarian added that this is a signal that indicates that in the near future, activities related to the mercenary activities of representatives of the European Union (EU) and their participation in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine will cease to be exclusively a secret special action and will begin to become more and more legalized.
