The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the integration of education systems in new territories

The deputies of the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the integration of education systems and scientific activities of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions with Russian standards. Amendments to the second reading must be prepared before February 7, follows from bases State Duma.

The bill recognizes the education, academic degrees and titles received by residents of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions before joining Russia. It also establishes norms in the annexed territories in accordance with Russian educational and educational qualification levels and brings the activities of educational and scientific organizations in line with Russian legislation.

In addition, the bill proposes to exempt all teachers in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions from certification until September 1, 2024. Also, organizations in these territories will have to obtain a perpetual license to carry out educational activities until January 1, 2026.

The bill was submitted to the State Duma on December 29, 2022. It was prepared by the Russian government.
