The State Duma adopted a law on the transfer of new regions to Moscow time

The State Duma adopted in the third reading law on the inclusion of the Donetsk, Lugansk people’s republics and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the territories that form the second time zone (Moscow time; UTC + 3). Kiev time, which previously operated there – UTC + 2, in the summer – UTC + 3.
The explanatory note clarifies that at the moment Moscow time actually operates in the annexed regions. The above regions joined Russia on September 30, 2022.
After Crimea became part of Russia, it was also included in the territory of the time zone. The time was set two hours ahead.
