Washington believes that the Chinese authorities do not provide military assistance to Russia. This statement was made on Monday, June 12, by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
According to the politician, “China has not crossed this red line” despite the fact that the Chinese side “expressed fears” about the possible shipment of Russian weapons to the PRC for a special military operation in Ukraine.
However, Blinken noted that the US has concerns about the cooperation of private Chinese companies with Russia and the possible transfer of dual-use technologies in this process.
Earlier, a journalist for the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, Amal Mudalli, said that the US’s biggest fear is the combined power of two nuclear powers – Russia and China. The journalist said that, according to the Pentagon, in the event of a large-scale conflict, 3,000 Russian and Chinese warheads would be aimed at the United States.
Anthony Blinken is expected to arrive in Beijing shortly after his current tour of the Middle East, where he will try “get through” to the Chinese authorities about the concerns of the United States.
