Actor Vyacheslav Grishechkin, known for his role as Colonel Starokon in the TV series “Soldiers,” died at the age of 62. According to KP.RU, a week before his death he was hospitalized due to heart problems.
Vyacheslav Grishechkin made his film debut in 1989 in the film “Bindyuzhnik and the King.” Over more than 30 years of his film career, he has played roles in 167 films, including the popular TV series “Soldiers”, “Kamenskaya”, “Happy Together” and “Brigada”. The actor has played at the Theater in the South-West since its founding. Since 2017, he has directed the theater studio at the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Grishechkin was also a member of the charitable movement “Artists for Russian Soldiers” (with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation). As part of it, he performed in various military units. In mid-September, he was supposed to go on a charity tour to St. Petersburg, but refused after the tickets were purchased due to poor health.
The actor was married twice. Grishechkin divorced his first wife back in the 90s. He was married to his second wife, Anna, for more than 25 years. She died in 2017 due to cancer. According to friends, after the death of his wife, Grishechkin struggled with depression.
