Igor Kechaev, actor and director, died in Moscow at the age of 63. This information was published on the official website of the Stanislavsky Moscow Drama Theater.
Kechaev passed away after a long and serious illness on September 13. Farewell to him took place on Friday. In a message published on the website of the Stanislavsky Electrotheater, Kechaev was called “a man of the brightest soul” and “a true romantic with a rare gift of empathy.”

The actor played the main role in the cult drama of perestroika “My name is Harlequin”. He also starred in the films “Leningrad. November”, “Death Behind the Scenes”, “Zenboxing”, “Paper Soldier”.
As a director, he worked on the projects “Trace”, “The Neighbor”, “Late Flowers”, “Comrades Policemen”. The latest film that Kechaev created is called “I Want to Believe You”, it was released in 2021.
Also on Saturday it became known that Honored Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Grishechkin had died.
