The sports stadium, which could not be built by the opening of school No. 55 in the Kashtak microdistrict of Chita, was promised to be opened by the Ministry of Construction of the Trans-Baikal Territory on September 1, 2024. The reason for the unavailability of the object is that it was designed on a swampy area, explained the head of the construction directorate of the School of the Future LLC Sergey Baranescu.
“The project was developed in 2019. They made surveys, and under the stadium – 2.5 meters of silt, so they decided to suspend construction. In addition to the swampy area, there is a busy highway nearby, which is dangerous for children,” he told reporters.
Now a new site of about one hectare is being sought for the transfer of the facility. Sergei Baranescu hopes that the stadium will be able to get land right behind the school, closer to the Karpovsky tract.
“The work itself will take about three months. All equipment for the stadium has already been purchased – from lighting to sports equipment,” he said.
Minister of Construction, Roads and Transport Igor Dubrovin promised: “Absolutely, on September 1, 2024, physical education lessons will begin, taking into account the opportunities on the street. If we can do it sooner, we’ll do it sooner.”
RecallOn September 1, the grand opening of the institution took place at the “line” of the lower grades. Its director spoke in detail aboutwhat is inside the building and what the children will do.
