Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Maslov told how to plant cucumbers in April
Cucumbers can be planted in April only if they grow in heated greenhouses or greenhouses with emergency heating, said Vyacheslav Maslov, candidate of agricultural sciences.
The expert referred to aif.rusaid that cucumbers should be planted in unheated greenhouses closer to mid-May, and the optimum temperature for them is 15 degrees Celsius.
At the end of April, provided that the ground had thawed sufficiently, the specialist also advised planting early greens such as parsley, carrots, lettuce and radishes in the greenhouse.
Seedlings of cabbage and celery can be planted in open ground in late April – early May, Maslov said.
The expert suggested planting tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and other seedlings in early May, and basil – after May 20 in a greenhouse or in June in the open air.
