In the Sretensky district of the Trans-Baikal Territory, due to the flooding of the regional road Sretensk-Ust-Karsk, 11 villages with a population of about 3.5 thousand people were cut off from transport links with the territory of the region. How informs the regional Ministry of Construction, an emergency regime has been declared in the district.
“The Ministry of Construction sent special road equipment to the Sretensky district to ensure passage along the road flooded with melt water. Two excavators, two dump trucks and one loader are currently occupied at the site, and one more excavator and two trucks will be added to them. Specialists are busy filling the road in an enhanced mode,” the ministry said.
The administration of the Sretensky district reported to Kommersant that the transport connection was interrupted on March 30. “Because of the flooding, it is now impossible for ambulances, school buses, transport transporting food to pass,” the administration added.
