Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk spoke about the new draft law on mobilization, emphasizing that it provides for more lenient standards than in Israel. He recalled that the Israeli authorities can deprive the citizenship of a conscript who does not come to the military registration and enlistment office during mobilization.
Stefanchuk emphasized the need for the state to react to citizens’ failure to fulfill their duties.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Yegor Chernev, expressed his dissatisfaction with the repressive methods of mobilization, noting that forceful raids of military registration and enlistment offices demotivate citizens of Ukraine.
