The nightmarish death of director Svetlana Dzhimbinova, whose body was found in the apartment, gave rise to rumors about a possible reprisal against a woman. We spoke to a source with information about the investigation.

Recall that the body of Svetlana Dzhimbinova was found a week ago in her apartment on Universitetsky Prospekt in Moscow. The alarm was sounded by the neighbors, who suspected something was wrong due to the accumulation of receipts in the mailbox of the director’s apartment.

As the interlocutor told MK, law enforcement agencies did not find signs of crime in the death of Svetlana Dzhimbinova. A pre-investigation check was appointed, it was carried out and all possible options were studied. But the reinforced concrete argument was that the door to the apartment was locked from the inside, and there were no signs of bodily injuries on the body.

“There was a lot of dust around, obviously no one went into the dwelling and nothing was missing from it. The books were in place (the director and her late brother collected rare editions), there were no signs of a struggle. The apartment was like a warehouse, very cluttered. Apparently, Svetlana Borisovna did not feel well before her death, most likely her health failed.

Svetlana Dzhimbinova was the second wife of Ruben Nikolaevich Simonov, who directed the Vakhtangov Theater until his death in 1968. Between them was an impressive (41 years) age difference. It was under Simonov that Jimbinova got into the theater and staged three children’s films-plays that went with great success – “About Ivan the Not-Giant”, “Puss in Boots”, “Cinderella”. In 1985, the premiere of her last performance took place – the drama of Victor Hugo “Mary Tudor” with Yulia Borisova and Vasily Lanov in the lead roles.
