Leva “Bi-2” called the punishment for violating Thai legislation disproportionate
One of the soloists of the Bi-2 group, Yegor Bortnik, known as Leva Bi-2 (included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign agents), admitted the group’s guilt in violating the laws of Thailand. However, according to him, the punishment the musicians suffered is disproportionate to the offense. He made this statement in a conversation with Izvestia.
He said that everything that happened came as a surprise to the group. He also noted that the team violated the law “through no fault of their own.”
“What began to happen next was already beyond any logic. And it’s good that there are people on earth who are so empathetic that they are ready to do miracles,” said the musician.
The soloist also thanked the Israeli Foreign Ministry for their assistance in deporting his colleagues to the country.
Let us remind you about detention of musicians of the group “Bi-2” became known on January 25. The reason for the arrest was performing in one of the clubs without the appropriate permission.
The musicians were fined $95as well as deportation from the country.
