The Social Fund of Russia warns citizens against scammers who pose as fund employees

[ad_1]

Foundation employees never go door to door with inspections or surveys.

Fraudsters are constantly looking for ways to deceive citizens, especially older people. Because of this, pensioners often face various manipulations and become victims of attackers.

How scammers cheat:

– disseminate false information on social networks and instant messengers about a wave of inspections of pensioners by the Social Fund, Tax Service and social protection departments;

– disseminate information that fund employees are visiting the apartments of elderly citizens in order to verify their registration according to official documents with their actual place of residence. If a pensioner does not live at his place of permanent registration, his payments will allegedly be reduced or withdrawn altogether, and he may be held accountable, even criminally;

– they clarify whether the person received payments (pension or benefits) and send them to the Social Fund of Russia to sort it out;

– unscrupulous lawyers impose paid services on older people. Pensioners, in particular, are offered protection from imaginary checks, options for resolving issues with official bodies, and even recalculation of pensions upward.

“The Social Fund warns citizens not to fall for the tricks of scammers! – clarifies the SFR. – Fund employees never go door to door with any inspections or surveys. If people come to you and introduce themselves as employees of the Social Fund, do not believe them, they are scammers. The Foundation strongly recommends that Russians not trust dubious offers and not use paid services. All services for registration and recalculation of pensions are provided free of charge by the client services of the Social Fund, as well as the MFC.”
