The Siberian Federal District karate championship will be held in Kuzbass

The competition will take place on October 19 and 20 from 10:00 in the Kuznetsk Metallurgists Arena in Novokuznetsk.
About 700 athletes from different Siberian regions will take part in them. Boys and girls aged 14 to 20 will fight for victory. The best karatekas will be determined in two disciplines: kata and kumite.
For the second time, the strongest karatekas of the Siberian Federal District gather in Novokuznetsk. The first competitions of this level took place in Kuzbass in 2020. At the upcoming competitions, Kuzbass will be represented by 130 participants from different cities. Already recognized athletes will perform among them: Konstantin Plotnikov, Vadim Aganin, Alexander Sukhanov and others. The best of the best will go to the Russian karate championship, which will be held on December 5 this year in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
In total, about five thousand Kuzbass residents practice karate. 450 of them compete in competitions at various levels. Kemerovo athletes are actively involved in this type of martial arts at the Kuzbass Arena sports complex, while Novokuznetsk young karatekas train at the Anatoly Smolyaninov sports school. Up to 17 tournaments of various sizes are regularly held in the region, and there are also 14 sports clubs and 16 coaches.
And young artists from Kemerovo won an international competition.
