The sexologist explained the growth in sales of drugs to increase potency

The growth rate of sales of funds to increase male potency from July to September 2022 was taken aback: compared to the same period in 2021, they were bought almost twice as much. Experts explained to MK the reasons for the sharp increase in demand for such drugs, and it turned out that there are a whole host of reasons, and not only psychological, but also economic, and also reminded that it would help strengthen “male strength” without drugs.

If compared in monetary terms, over the past three months, Russians have purchased these “magic” funds in the amount of 2.1 billion rubles, which is 75% more than their spending on the same drugs in the same third quarter of last year.

Such statistics were revealed by the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, the operator of the Chestny Znak digital marking system. The organization also named the regions where, according to everything, the most male residents are prone to sexual weakness: in the first place – the Krasnodar Territory (622 packages per 10 thousand adult males), St. Petersburg (591 packages), Moscow Region ( 587 packs), Kamchatka Krai (562 packs) and – is it any wonder? – Moscow (560 packs).

Needless to say, this topic is very painful for men. Failures in sexual life, as psychologists say, can lead to other spheres collapsing: social, professional, creative, etc.

A number of reasons could contribute to the increase in sales of male drugs compared to last year, and the first aspect is economic.

“Firstly, people are afraid that such drugs may disappear from pharmacies or their prices will rise significantly, and for this reason they are also being bought up,” psychotherapist and sexologist Alexei Lysenko explained to MK. – Secondly, in a situation of possible catastrophes, people begin to relate to money differently. Previously, he could not buy such drugs for future use, but would buy one package before, relatively speaking, the upcoming date, but now he thinks: they have a long shelf life, let them lie, they will come in handy. This, incidentally, applies to any medication, not just remedies for impotence.

Even more important is the psychological factor, reflecting the current realities. This, as the psychotherapist explains, is “a kind of attempt to breathe, to have time to take everything that is possible from life” before a possible cataclysm. Both men and women begin to understand: if something happens, tomorrow they will not have such an opportunity. “Where previously couples could meet for months without a close relationship, now everything has accelerated significantly.”

Lysenko also noted a third point. The number of buyers of male drugs has increased due to those who were initially not very lucky with their sexual constitution (“it is different for everyone”), plus age and an unhealthy lifestyle have overlapped, and now all this has been aggravated by them due to general anxiety.

– Such a man begins to be afraid that he will fail, and buys drugs. In a calmer situation, he might have done without them, the expert says.

Global advice from sexologist Lysenko: since potency is directly related to blood supply, the state of blood vessels, you can try to switch to a healthy lifestyle. These are diet, normal sleep, physical activity, parting with smoking and alcohol, and also “try not to allow yourself to be particularly overloaded with negativity.” Because any stress will only exacerbate this problem.

“We need to work on reducing anxiety and fear of sexual failure. People themselves do not realize how they begin to unwind this anxiety due to sexual failure.

On the other hand, according to the same study, Russia also recorded an increase in sales of contraceptives. Which, in principle, is understandable: few people want to get pregnant at such an inopportune time. Yes, and picking up a sexually transmitted disease, now, with a possible shortage of drugs, is especially unpleasant. In the third quarter of 2022, 4 million packs of “anti-pregnancy” drugs were purchased, which is 11% more than in the previous three months of this year, and 17% more than in the same period in 2021.
