Honored pilot of Russia Evgeny Serykh commented on the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin that fragments of hand grenades were found in the bodies of those killed in the plane crash of the founder of the Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin, and there was no external impact on the aircraft.

“The explosion must be powerful enough,” Serykh said, adding that the blast wave must be directed so that the plane’s wing falls off. He noted that in the video footage from the crash site one can see that one of the wings is torn off.

In this regard, he suggested that the explosion occurred in the place where the wing is attached to the fuselage of the aircraft – in the center section area.

“Obviously something bigger exploded. Or several grenades,” the expert said.

Sedykh also suggested that the grenades were loaded onto the plane in advance and were not kept by the passengers. But how they got there is a question for the investigation.

He also unequivocally stated that after the plane’s wing fell off, it had no chance of survival.
