The section “Physical culture and sports” will work for three days in Pskov

For three days (from 13 to 15 October) the section “Physical culture and sports” of the Union of Cities of the North-West and the Center of Russia will work in Pskov. As the press service of the city administration told MK in Pskov, residents of Arkhangelsk, Veliky Novgorod, Vologda, Ivanovo, Koryazhma, Kotlas, Petrozavodsk, Severodvinsk, Staraya Russa, Syktyvkar, Cherepovets and Shuya will take part in it.
The Pskovites will also take part in the work of the section. On the first day, the guests will visit the reconstructed Mashinostroitel stadium. Here they will discuss the construction of sports facilities.
On Friday, a section meeting is scheduled, during which the participants will discuss topical issues of holding the Summer Spartakiad in Vladimir in 2023 and the Winter Spartakiad in Petrozavodsk in 2024. Within the framework of the same meeting, the regulation on holding the Spartakiad will be approved.
It should be noted that the Union of Cities of the Center and North-West of Russia unites 27 cities with a population of about 6 million inhabitants. The Union regularly organizes meetings, holds seminars and conferences where its members share their experience, compare and study the achievements of their colleagues.
