An employee of a penal colony located in the village of Idritsa, Sebezhsky district, won the All-Russian wrestling tournament pankration. As MK in Pskov was told by the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Pskov Region, Nikita Stepanov, deputy head of the security department of correctional colony No. 3, became the winner of the sports competition.
An employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service took part in the competition, which took place in Pskov. Along with him, more than 130 athletes fought for victory not only from our region and the Leningrad region, but also from Tula, Ivanovo, Moscow, Kaliningrad and Veliky Novgorod. Before the start of the competition, the athletes were divided into weight categories and age.
“According to the results of the fights, Nikita Stepanov won a confident victory in his group, thereby confirming the title of a candidate for master of sports,” – noted in the press service, recalling that this speech is not the first success for the employee of the department. Previously, the athlete became the best in the championship of the city of Pskov and the competitions of the Pskov region, and also twice became the winner of the tournaments of the Northwestern Federal District.
By the way, according to the athlete himself, this victory was not easy for him. Excitement affected, the experience and professionalism of rivals made themselves felt. Nevertheless, the self-resident managed to cope with all the difficulties.
