On September 9, the second day of voting in the Moscow mayoral elections began, the electronic voting system is working normally, as follows from a message in the telegram channel of the Public Headquarters for Observing Elections in the capital.
“Currently, almost 1.6 million people have taken part in electronic voting,” the message says.
It is also clarified that the electronic voting system is operating normally.
Mayoral elections are taking place in Moscow on September 8. Candidates for the post are the current mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin (from United Russia), Moscow City Duma deputy Leonid Zyuganov (from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation), State Duma deputy Dmitry Gusev (from the A Just Russia – For Truth party) and State Duma vice-speakers Boris Chernyshov (from LDPR) and Vladislav Davankov (from the New People party).
The elections will last until September 10.
