“I can. I can. I’ll teach” – this is the motto of the official opening of the 25th School of Creative Industries in Russia and the first in the Republic of Tatarstan. “The School of Creative Industries is a place where someone will chart the trajectory of their professional life, someone will find a favorite hobby, someone will be able to fulfill themselves,” Nadezhda Reverend commented on the event.

Two years ago, within the framework of the “Invented in Russia” federal project, a project was launched in our country to create Schools of Creative Industries in the regions. These are free educational institutions for children aged 12 to 17 years old, which are located on the sites of existing institutes and colleges of culture and arts, music and art schools, art schools, art houses, academies, methodological centers and give students the opportunity to “try” their hand in design, animation, electronic music creation, photography and video production, interactive technologies, in particular VR and AR. The project is financed through federal and regional subsidies: the state allocates money for the purchase, delivery and installation of equipment and stage structures, the rest of the costs are covered by the region and the educational organization itself.

Since the beginning of the new academic year, such schools have begun work in Bashkortostan, Khakassia, Tyva, Buryatia, Mordovia, Krasnoyarsk, the Republic of Mari El, Tomsk, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Vladimir, Lipetsk and Tula regions, in Kuzbass … And recently such a School of Creative Industries officially opened in Kazan on the basis of the Kazan Art College. N. I. Feshina.

As the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Nadezhda Reverend, noted, the most important thing in the work of such a school is to see the happy eyes of the children who come to classes.

– It is very important that classes for classes are small everywhere, which makes it possible for almost individual lessons with each child. And no matter what room you go into, something interesting happens everywhere, the guys are really passionate about it. The School of Creative Industries is a place where someone will chart the trajectory of their professional life, someone will find a favorite hobby, someone will be able to fulfill themselves,” said Nadezhda Reverend. – I wish everyone creative success, creativity that would never stop in you. The motto of your teachers is “I can, I can, I will teach!” – amazing. I hope that in the future you will also share and pass on what you do, and then we will be able to maintain a lively interest in culture and creativity.

Education at the school will go in four directions: photo and video production, interactive digital technologies, design, animation. In total, the educational institution is ready to accept 91 students. The course is designed for a minimum of two years.

– Schoolchildren who will come to us, teachers will teach projects created at the intersection of art and digital technologies. Among the main areas are sound engineering, electronic music, photo and video production, animation and 3D graphics, design and interactive digital technologies. The course of study will take at least two years,” says Olga Gilmutdinova, director of the Kazan Art College.

The implementation of the federal project “Invented in Russia” is planned until 2030. This project allows its participants to get acquainted with the achievements of the cultural industry, develop creative skills, gain knowledge in the field of creative professions, create creative products, as well as “replicate” them and bring them to marketplaces. In particular, the School of Creative Industries in Kazan is preparing a program that will help its students “monetize” the knowledge gained during their studies, for example, offer photography services, create cartoons and advertising videos, and produce various business models.

And at the Kazan Technical School of Folk Art Crafts, where jewelers, potters, fashion designers are trained, a structure is being developed that will allow students of the technical school to sell their products.

– The guys here make individual products, not a line. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to bring them to the marketplace in a mass format. Including from the point of view of logistics, – says the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova. – We need to create such a “showcase of goods” produced by students of creative colleges, where each person could sell himself. This is true for those who do something with their hands, and for those who are ready to sell their personal services.

Within the framework of another project – the national project “Culture” – children’s art schools are being repaired and equipped with musical instruments, houses of culture are being repaired and built, municipal museums are being equipped, youth theaters are being repaired and reconstructed, and much more. Thus, more than five hundred children’s art schools have already been repaired all over Russia. According to Nadezhda Reverend, the national project “Culture” is designed for five years, from 2019 to 2024. And I would very much like the project to continue after 2024, because it is needed and important.

– In total, in the country for almost two years, within the framework of the national project “Culture”, 505 children’s art schools have been brought into proper condition – assistance has been provided in the implementation of major repairs and reconstruction, in particular, the school in Arsk in Tatarstan has been repaired. New musical instruments and equipment have also been delivered there. This is an important area, and I want to continue it – there are big ambitious plans, there are always applications from colleagues. Of course, we try to cover all regions,” Nadezhda Reverend said.

Help “MP”

By the end of 2022, 32 Creative Industries Schools will be opened in Russia. In them, children who may not have been involved in art before will be able to join the areas that are in the educational institution, find each other, and grow professionally.
