The mother of Alexei Navalny, who died in IK-3, Lyudmila Navalnaya, filed a complaint with the Salekhard City Court. The court will consider it behind closed doors on March 4. Earlier, Lyudmila Navalnaya complained that she was not given her son’s body for funeral.

“The complaint was received about illegal actions and decisions. The hearing is scheduled for March 4, a closed court session,” TASS was told in court. The investigation is not releasing the politician’s body to relatives due to the chemical examination, which will take another 14 days.

February 16, Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported about the death of Alexei Navalny in the Polar Wolf colony. According to the service, the oppositionist felt ill after a walk and lost consciousness. The day before, the wife of the oppositionist Yulia Navalnaya issued an appeal in which she accused Vladimir Putin of involvement in the death of her husband. Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov named the accusations are “boorish and unfounded.”
