Until the end of 2023, VK will adapt the domestic application store RuStore for the domestic mobile operating system Aurora. Vedomosti was told about this by two interlocutors familiar with the companies’ plans, and was confirmed by official representatives of both developers. After the store is launched, developers of user applications will have to adapt their solutions to Aurora independently, a VK representative clarified.
“The product and engineering teams of the Open Mobile Platform (OMP) and VK are already actively working together to ensure the integration of RuStore and the Aurora operating system,” an OMP representative told Vedomosti.
