Two Tynda residents received prison terms for throwing a grenade at the police building

The court sentenced two residents of Tynda in the Amur region to two years in prison for throwing a grenade at the police building and filming what was happening on video. This was reported by the regional department of the RF IC.

As it became known to the investigation, the crime occurred on the morning of June 8, 2023. Two citizens, 27 and 36 years old in Tynda, while intoxicated, walked near the police station building. The eldest of them suggested throwing an airsoft noise grenade onto the territory of the Tyndinsky Ministry of Internal Affairs. The second defendant in the case agreed. The 36-year-old man filmed it all on video, accompanied by extremist calls, and then posted it on social networks.

The court found two citizens guilty of committing a crime under the article of hooliganism, as well as for public calls for extremist activities. One convict was sentenced to two years in prison, the other received 3.2 years in prison. The perpetrators will serve their sentence in a general regime correctional colony.
