The Russian Orthodox Church presented a temple equipped on the basis of UAZ for military priests

At the military-technical forum “Army-2023” in Kubinka near Moscow, the Russian Orthodox Church presented a church for military priests equipped on the basis of a UAZ car.

“The UAZ is our cheapest, passable car… There is a place where you can sleep – for the priest, the altar boy, the driver, where you can rest, there is a table. And the temple itself is very conveniently assembled and invested there, ”said TASS Archpriest Alexander Dobrodeev

“All the attributes of the temple are observed: the throne – the side of the car leans back, the altar, everything is very compact and corresponds to the realities of modern times,” he added.

Mr. Dobrodeev noted that the camp temples based on the “Ural” and KamAZ turned out to be “large, noticeable” and “not dismantled.”

A military priest, in addition to the general requirements for the clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), must have experience in pastoral ministry, be able to endure the difficulties and hardships associated with his service.

Now in the Moscow Patriarchate together with the Ministry of Defense develop a draft law according to which priests in the special operation zone can be equated with military personnel. The Russian Orthodox Church said that the amendments on the status of military priests connected with their shortage in the NWO zone.
