The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the list of health workers receiving social benefits

The Government of the Russian Federation has adjusted the list of categories of medical workers who can receive special social benefits. The corresponding document was published on Friday, August 18.
From now on, medical workers who do not have a medical education will be able to receive social benefits from the state. As specified in the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, this change will apply to about three thousand people.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers recommended that the regional authorities introduce special social benefits for medical workers employed in outreach palliative care units for adult patients.
Earlier, the head of the Stavropol Territory branch of the Social Fund of Russia, Elena Dolgova, said that since the beginning of 2023, 15.6 thousand medical workers in the Stavropol Territory have received special social benefits in the amount of over 683 million rubles. The amount of the payment ranges from 4.5 thousand to 18.5 thousand rubles, depending on the category of health workers and the type of organization.
Stavropol Governor Vladimir Vladimirov instructed the regional Ministry of Health to develop a draft program of regional incentive payments for ambulance workers. He also noted that the region will continue the practice of targeted recruitment for medical specialties.
