The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has developed a manual on the classical Ukrainian language for elementary school students, and a manual for high school students is also being created, the department told TASS.
“The textbook is already ready for elementary grades, work continues on a manual for students in grades 5-9. We will create all the necessary conditions for learning the Ukrainian language,” said Alexander Bugaev, First Deputy Minister of Education of Russia.
In schools in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, children will be able to learn Ukrainian as their native language or as an elective, depending on the decision made in each particular region, Bugaev explained. He also noted that most of the education in these regions is conducted in Russian.
