The next batch of Su-35S fighters was handed over to the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu.A. Gagarin to the Russian Ministry of Defense. As reported by the Rostec state corporation, which includes the enterprise, this is the last batch under the 2023 program.

According to the first deputy general director of the corporation, Vladimir Prtyakov, the Su-35S is one of the main fighters in service with the Russian army. He emphasized that the aircraft clearly demonstrates its high performance in real combat conditions.

“UAC enterprises provide the Russian Aerospace Forces with modern aviation systems in strict accordance with the delivery schedule. KnAAZ workers, like other UAC factories that carry out state defense orders, work in three shifts. Our employees understand the necessity and importance of their work,” said Yuri Slyusar, General Director of PJSC UAC

The fighter is designed to gain air superiority and destroy ground and surface targets at any time of the day in simple and difficult weather conditions.

It is stated that the Su-35S has undergone a series of ground and flight tests in various operating modes. It has high-quality, long-range air-to-surface guided weapons, as well as an advanced electronic countermeasures and defense system.

Let us remind you that the Russian Aerospace Forces received another batch of Su-34 front-line bombers as part of the execution of the state defense order.

Earlier it became known that in the fighter Su-57 will have a second pilot. UAC received the corresponding patent.

The aircraft will be produced in three versions: combat training, with a weapons operator and as a leader of a UAV group.
