Ukraine wanted to spend $5 billion on missile weapons

Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Dzhigir announced the country’s intention to spend about $5 billion from the defense budget on the acquisition of missile weapons next year. His words are quoted by the official telegram channel of the Ukrainian military department.
According to Dzhigir, the purchase of missile weapons and ammunition is one of the leading priorities of the Ukrainian defense budget for 2024.
The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine added that approximately $2.2 billion will be spent by the country’s authorities on military equipment. He emphasized that the next priority is the implementation of routine repairs of military equipment and the subsequent purchase of components for it.
