The diplomat added that it is too early to talk about the results of discussions within the EU on relations with the Russian Federation, as their discussion continues, and also stressed that Moscow has no illusions about this.

Borrell previously said that the EU not ready yet discuss new sanctions against Russia. In early October, the EU approved the eighth package of sanctions, one of the main measures of which was to limit the cost of oil. The price ceiling for crude oil will come into effect on December 5, 2022, and for refined products on February 5, 2023.
