Russia will open two embassies and five consulates general in “friendly” countries
State Secretary-Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Evgeny Ivanov shared in a conversation with “Komsomolskaya Pravda» about the opening in the near future of two Russian embassies and five consulates general. These decisions have already been made with the state authorities.
According to him, embassies will be located in Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea, consulates general will be in Kapan (Armenia), Aktau (Kazakhstan), Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Denpasar (Indonesia) and Male (Maldives).
Ivanov noted that the Russian authorities will scale up their diplomatic presence in “friendly” countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also plans to open diplomatic and consular missions in a number of other states that play a key role for Russia.
