The Russian Foreign Ministry protested to the Japanese embassy in Moscow after a meeting of the “Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia” (included in the register of organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable in Russia) was held in Tokyo. About it reported in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“On August 7, a strong protest was made to the Japanese Embassy in Russia in connection with the provision by the Japanese authorities of an official platform for holding a meeting in Tokyo of the so-called “Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia”, whose activities are recognized in the Russian Federation as undesirable, and whose members are included in the register of terrorists, – said in the message.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the holding of such a meeting and the participation in it of the deputies of the Japanese parliament, who signed the final document calling for the violation of Russia’s territorial integrity, “cannot be regarded otherwise than as an attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of our country.” The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the administration of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, by agreeing to hold the meeting, “demonstrated open support for terrorist rhetoric and the ideology of hatred against Russia.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry warned of possible consequences in the form of the destruction of the “remnants” of normal bilateral relations and retaliatory measures in the event of a repetition of such provocations. The Foreign Ministry also called for the punishment of Japanese parliamentarians who took part in the event of the Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia.
March 17 Prosecutor General’s Office acknowledged undesirable activity on the territory of Russia of the public movement “Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia” created in Poland. According to the department, the leaders of the organization called for the violation of the territorial integrity of Russia, and also spread fakes about a special operation in Ukraine.
