The grain deal can only be resumed if the Russia-UN memorandum is implemented. This statement was made by the director of the second department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexey Polishchuk.
According to the politician, there is no progress in lifting sanctions on economic operators who are used in various areas of production and export: from bank payments to transport logistics.
Earlier it became known that the UN would agree to all Russian conditions in order for the grain deal to resume work. Thus, the Secretary General of the organization, Antonio Guterres, approached Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with a proposal to return Russian banks to the SWIFT system. But later, a representative of the Secretary General, Farhan Khakzavil, said that the proposal was not correctly understood by the Russian government.
