The New York Times publishes statements by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. According to him, Tehran does not want a big war, but demands that Israel’s military actions be limited. Earlier, information appeared that the United States is ready to discuss the resumption of dialogue with Iran, including on the so-called nuclear deal. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize believes in the victory of common sense.

Antony Blinken is visiting Israel for the second time since the start of the war. The Secretary of State’s program is not known for certain. However, it was stated that after negotiations with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he will also visit a number of neighboring countries.

Meanwhile, different versions have appeared in the world press, including the American one, that the United States is allegedly ready to resume big trade with Iran. Naturally, there is no official confirmation of this. But The New York Times newspaper quotes Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian as saying that they have contact with Washington on operational issues.

An Iranian official portrayed it this way: we warn them – we are not responsible for ourselves, if anything happens. They say, hold me, seven of you, I’m about to swing and hit you, and besides, I’ll create a global energy crisis and put the entire globe on its hind legs.

Here I would really like to remind you of an old proven life principle. How can I put it mildly, without using criminal jargon: words should not diverge from deeds. You can’t threaten all the time, otherwise you’ll lose your authority.

So far, the Yemeni Houthis, who are called “Iranian proxies,” are showing meaningful aggression by launching missiles towards Israel. It seems that such actions will not go unanswered. Moreover, this organization is not a headache for Israel, but primarily for Saudi Arabia, the largest regional power.

It’s unpleasant when missiles fly through your territory. They fought for a long time, but eventually concluded a truce. However, everything is going to the point that it may be interrupted. Many people in the Middle East are unhappy with Iran and its friends.

Meanwhile, if all these rumors about the resumption of dialogue with the West are confirmed, then Tehran may well find itself in a big plus as a result of all the events taking place. For example, he will exchange or sell partial lifting of sanctions against himself for non-intervention in the conflict. The big question is how correct this will be.

Concessions to such players, let’s call it that, often turn into even worse developments. However, who knows? There are many reasons to believe that the ayatollah’s regime is not as strong as it might seem at first glance. Again, American aircraft carriers are nearby – this is a good argument in the dispute, a convincing one.

In any case, it is illogical to start a big war with the prospect of losing then, when there is an opportunity ahead to strengthen one’s position and live a normal life for once. We remember how in 2015 literally all of Iran celebrated the lifting of sanctions. The joy was short-lived, but nonetheless. In general, being within a civilized framework, as is customary in the 21st century, and not in the Middle Ages, is very good.

But we digress. Be that as it may, great opportunities are opening up for all participants in this party. Except for terrorists, of course. Of course, there is an understanding in this regard; after all, they are smart and experienced people. This means we remain optimistic, because all is not lost.
