The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation is preparing to create a National Technology Center for Digital Cryptography. Alexander Shoitov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media, told about this to media representatives.
“Given the geopolitical situation, we have accelerated,” he said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg IT Dialogues forum. “And we plan to create it at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.” “Documents are under approval,” the Deputy Minister stressed.
Initially, the center was supposed to start operating in 2024: its creation is part of the Digital Economy program.
The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation previously announced plans to create a National Technology Center for Digital Cryptography. It is assumed that the center will provide private-state interaction in this area.
