A car owner in Abakan, who noticed smoke from under the hood of his car, extinguished it by collecting water from a nearby puddle with his palms.
A man poured water into the engine compartment, reports Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. The cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.
Drivers were advised to monitor the technical condition of the car, keep a fire extinguisher in the car and call 101 or 112.
