The captain of the KVN team “Odessa Gentlemen” Svetoslav Pelishenko died at the age of 72. Journalist Susanna Alperina reported this in her telegram channel.
“Svetoslav Pelishenko, known as Slava, captain of the ‘Gentlemen’ team, has passed away. He was smart, talented, honest and always seemed unperturbed. With his passing, a piece of my life, a piece of my heart, went away,” Alperina wrote in the telegram channel. She emphasized her admiration for Pelishenko’s human and professional qualities and expressed condolences to his loved ones.
Pelishenko graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Odessa State University, defended his dissertation and worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Theoretical Physics. He was the founder and captain of the Odessa Gentlemen team, which twice became league champions. Since 1991, he has worked on Russian television in the department of humorous programs. Pelishenko was also the author of the popular program “Town”.
