The Russian Embassy in Colombia called the trip of Colombian citizens to Kramatorsk reckless. The diplomatic mission announced this on its Twitter account.
“Of course, we are glad that this reckless trip did not turn into an irreparable tragedy for the slightly injured citizens. We insist that representatives of the friendly Colombian people refrain from visiting the territories and places of hostilities,” the embassy urged.
The department noted that “a front-line city turned into an operational and rear-military hub” is not the most suitable place for tasting Ukrainian cuisine.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro declaredthat the country’s Foreign Ministry should send a diplomatic note of protest to Russia. He said three people were injured in the incident. It was reported that former presidential adviser Sergio Jaramillo, writer Hector Abad and journalist Catalina Gomez were in Kramatorsk during the missile attack.
Ministry of Defense of Russia on June 28 in the daily summary reportedthat the Russian military attacked the point of temporary deployment of the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kramatorsk DPR. Kyiv accused Russia of killing civilians in the city, allegedly as a result of a missile attack. In response, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, stressed that Russia does not strike at civilian infrastructure. According to him, the Russian military hit objects that are “one way or another connected with the military infrastructure.”
