Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with the newspaper Corriere della Sera said that at present Kyiv is following the plans of the counteroffensive and is gradually increasing the intensity of hostilities.
He clarified that all this is happening despite the lack of shells and the well-prepared Russian defense.
“The front line stretched for more than 1,800 kilometers, while the area of minefields exceeds 20,000 square kilometers. The Russian military organized three lines of defense: trenches, bunkers, artillery, missiles, tanks. Among other things, they have trained about 360,000 soldiers,” Podolyak said.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are following the plans of the counteroffensive. The number and intensity of operations of the Ukrainian military is gradually growing. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have a shortage of large-caliber missiles and shells.
