The Russian Defense Ministry reported the death of more than 50 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kharkov

More than 50 Ukrainian soldiers were killed during attacks on the deployment points of the 127th and 14th brigades in the Kharkov region, should from the briefing of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“More than 50 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and more than 120 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded by strikes of ground-based high-precision weapons at points of temporary deployment of units of the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade and the 14th Mechanized Brigade near the city of Kharkov,” the ministry said.

In addition, Russian air defense systems shot down six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in a day, and also intercepted 18 shells from HIMARS and Alder multiple launch rocket systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 293 aircraft, 152 helicopters, 1,916 unmanned aerial vehicles, 374 anti-aircraft missile systems, 4,870 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 827 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 3,371 guns field artillery and mortar, as well as 5,417 units of special military vehicles.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Its goals, Russian President Vladimir Putin, outlined the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.

On July 3, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the release of the LPR. He added that the DPR is currently being released according to plan. In addition, the entire Kherson region is under the control of the Russian military. Most of the Zaporozhye Oblast and several districts of the Kharkiv Oblast are also controlled by Russia.
