The Russian alpine skiing championship began on Sakhalin. The opening of the competition was announced by the regional Ministry of Sports.
Almost 100 athletes who arrived on the island from 20 regions of the country will compete among themselves. The participants of the championship and championship were greeted by the head of the Sakhalin region Valery Limarenko.

On the first competitive day of the championship, the representative of the Moscow region, Vitalina Girina, won. The silver medal went to the athlete from the Kamchatka region Yulia Pleshkova, and the bronze medal was won by Muscovite Ekaterina Tkachenko.
In the junior championship, Ivan Mizintsev from St. Petersburg won gold, Oleg Furaev took second place, and Semyon Chelmakin from the Chelyabinsk region closed the top three.
