Dynamo Moscow beat Rubin Kazan at home with a minimum score of 1:0. After this victory, the blue and white moved into third place in the standings and are two points behind Zenit, which is second, and four points behind the leader, Krasnodar. Kommersant FM sports commentator Vladimir Osipov followed the development of events.
The snowfall in the capital, fortunately, stopped, so before the match between Dynamo and Rubin there was not as much talk about the weather as last weekend. In addition, the field at the VTB Arena was in excellent condition, and the only thing that bothered the players was the fairly low temperature, -10 degrees.
So Santa Claus looked appropriate on the field before the game. The fairy-tale character also appeared in the stands, especially the fans’ stands, which have been usually empty lately. And here a small group of fans in the form of the main New Year’s wizard supported Dynamo from behind the gate.
In turn, Konstantin Tyukavin, who scored against Rubin in the 26th minute, organized a celebration for the blue and white fans. An interesting detail is that the compensation for European clubs under the footballer’s new contract is no less than €20 million.
The player’s salary is still unknown, but under the previous agreement the striker, now 21 years old, received almost €50 thousand per month and a bonus of €7 thousand per goal. It is not surprising that when Tyukavin received a noticeable blow to the neck with the ball, the coaching staff decided to take care of the young talent and replaced the striker, which, however, did not prevent Dynamo from beating Rubin 1:0.
Next weekend we will have matches of the 18th round. The RPL eventually decided not to postpone the games until the spring, but this does not mean at all that all meetings will be held as scheduled. There are regulations according to which the grounds for canceling or postponing a match are temperatures below -15 degrees, and weather forecasters promise colder temperatures by the weekend. For example, on Saturday, December 9, the thermometer may drop to -17. “Spartak” and “Wings of the Soviets” play on this very day.
Football manager Yuri Belous is confident that it would be better to postpone all games to the spring: “We need to create conditions for fans. For example, when they play bandy in Krasnoyarsk, spectators are allowed to bring strong drinks into the stands. There is no such thing in football. If there is an opportunity to move the matches to the spring, I would only welcome it.”
At the same time, it will be cold not only in Moscow. In Voronezh, where Fakel and Dynamo meet, they promise -12 degrees. The head coach of the Paris NN club, Sergei Yuran, gave advice to sports officials who allow playing at such temperatures:
“I understand the functionaries, I would just like to advise them to go out at -6 or -8 and walk around a little in windbreakers and boots, at least 20 minutes, it doesn’t take an hour. After that, I think they would definitely say that it is traumatic.”
But it seems unlikely that anyone will follow Sergei Yuran’s advice. In addition, several matches will be held in the southern regions, and Zenit plays at home in an indoor arena. So we are waiting for new stories about winter football, and I want to believe that they will not involve serious injuries.
